About – Avant Glass

Mark’s artistic abilities are mostly self-taught, but his studies at local University were foundational. He began working in the art field by collaborating with a well-known restaurant theme designer. Working with several different paint mediums and fusing (found objects) with the glass, has generated many new unique art sculptures. He states that, “I was first drawn to the glass medium due not only to its beauty and versatility but also to its very unforgiving and challenging nature, one small mistake and the entire piece can be ruined.” Glass carving is a timeless art form which should be enjoyed by many generations to come.
